The past months have been busy for Orinda Group! We've been involved in projects engaging virtually all of our areas of expertise. During that time, Orinda Group principals:
In addition, principals also attended both the Mountain-Plains Museums Association annual conference in Taos, NM and the Western Museums Association annual conference in Boise, ID. Principal Jeremy Clark was appointed the Chair of the Technology Committee for MPMA and Principal Allyson Lazar served on the 2006 Program Committee for WMA.

Were key members of a multi-disciplinary team assembled to plan and design a new history and transportation museum in Pennsylvania;

Facilitated the deinstallation of the Times Mirror Hall of Native American Cultures at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County;

Designed and developed the online exhibition accompanying the ground-breaking art exhibition Force of Nature;
-
Tackled several other interesting web-related projects, including several for Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc.;

Designed a new logo for the Mountain-Plains Museums Association.

Finalizing the development phase for a new traveling exhibition, Starstruck;

Beginning the development of a second traveling exhibition, Pure Country;

Continuing to meet the web design needs of several museums, artists and architects;

Entering into discussions with a production company for the development of a museum-related educational television series for a major cable network (we are next to Hollywood, after all!).
Also, we are preparing for the annual meeting of the California Association of Museums in Long Beach, CA in February. We look forward to seeing you there and hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
